Getting to know Thailand

"I live traveling," that's been my motto in life. Even more uncommon is the places that leave me a life-long memory. Siam is certainly one of the rare states that I've arrived at fall in-love with. But during peaceful times, I believe there is hardly some other area in the world that can offer you a much better run for your money.

The main city of Thailand, Bangkok, is one town that's constantly prepared to enchant anyone who comes to visit. Being a bigger city it's, you are able to anticipate a city that is far more exciting than other cities in the state. From the gold palace to the weekend marketplace. The size of Chatuchak weekend market will undoubtedly leave you amazed. It is possible to find almost any culinary delights found in any areas of Siam and also the beautiful handicrafts that are so distinctively Thailand. Subsequently there is the Tuk Tuk experience which is unlike any other.

Phuket is the next most well-known destination after Bangkok. Laying on the outer most tip of the state, Phuket has one of the most amazing beaches in the whole world. But it is the 2006 Tsunami that shot Phuket to recognition to the planet and it was for no-good reason. Thanks God I was not there when the disaster hit as I discover myself visiting Thailand quite regularly. To me, what I recall the most about Phuket is the beach massage that I'd there. The experience of seeing the sun disappearing slowly out of your horizon as you enjoy a comforting Thai massage is really one type of its own.

One town that provides visitors quite a different sort of encounter is Chiang Mai. Most of the nation's tourism places are lying along the coastal line which essentially means they're shore destination. On the other hand, Chiang Mai has a much more agreeable and cooling weather throughout the year which is due to how it lies in quite high altitude. Another unique factor is its geographical area which lies at the center of among the world's most fearsome edge known as the Golden Triangle. Besides the town's famous night market, you should definitely spend a while seeing the boundary also.

Places like Krabi and Koh Samui are must-visit locations and don't say you've visited Thailand if you have not been to these places. What's amazing is despite the big presence of visitors in the area, most of the beaches remain unspoilt and delightful. You can hardly find such locations anymore nowadays. Do not forget to check the calendar to make sure that the time of your visit does not coincide with the monsoon season when you'd find many attractions to be closed.
